Alexanders on the Lake

Red’s Best Pancake House

There are no menus. You really don’t need one. The only item to order at Red’s is Pancakes and Sausage. The pancakes and sausage are so delicious, there’s no reason to offer anything else. It’s been that way for over 50 years. The sausage is made from a secret recipe that was handed down from the previous owner. Tradition is a special thing here.

OPEN SEASONALLY ONLY

The restaurant is only open from mid-February to late-April and during the month of October. And, it’s only open on Saturdays and Sundays. Just like beautiful spring flowers, or the turning of leaves, Red’s Best pancakes, syrup, and sausage can only be experienced at a certain time of year. The traditions are expected to continue for years to come.

Red’s Best Pancake House is open from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. It’s located on the Clymer-Sherman Road about three miles west of Sherman. An adult serving is $15. If you plan to go, keep in mind it’s an ‘old school’ operation. Only cash is accepted.
